This Privacy Policy explains how Jobs European (the "Portal") collects, uses and protects personal data of candidates and employers.
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Innovation R. ltd, which owns and manages Jobs European. In this Privacy Policy we refer to Innovation R. ltd as "we", "us" or "our".
This Policy applies when you visit our website, create an account, publish or answer job applications or job offers, or otherwise use our services. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with this Policy, you should not use the Portal.
We use simple, clear English to help non‑native speakers understand how their data is managed. This summary does not replace the full information below, which you should read in full.
We collect personal data that you provide directly and data that is collected automatically when you use the Portal.

- Application content: title and text of your application ad (profession or target job and description).
- Information inside your application: for example your skills, experience, languages and any other details you decide to write in your ad. Your email and personal contact details added in the registration form are not shown in the public ad.
- Messages sent through the Portal to employers and replies you send to them.

Data collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, date and time of access, pages visited and actions performed (for example, search or filter used).
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how users use the Portal. More details are in the Cookies and Similar Technologies section below.
- Security and log data: information needed to keep the Portal safe, for example logs of access, failed logins and actions that may indicate abuse.
We do not ask you to provide special categories of personal data (such as health data, religion or political opinions). Please do not include this type of information in your ads or messages.
We process your personal data only for clear and lawful purposes and, where possible, we explain them in simple language.

With your consent (when required)
In some cases, we may ask for your consent before using your data, for example for certain optional communications or cookies that are not strictly necessary. When we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we must have a legal basis for each way in which we use your personal data. Depending on the specific activity, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: when processing is necessary to create and manage your account, publish and manage your applications or job offers, and allow communication between candidates and employers. Using the Portal under the Terms of Use is a contract between you and us.
- Legitimate interest: when we process data to keep the Portal safe, prevent abuse and fraud, moderate content, protect our rights, improve our services, and manage our business. When we rely on legitimate interest, we balance our interest with your rights and expectations and use data in a proportionate way.
- Legal obligation: when we must keep or share certain information because the law requires it, for example in case of official requests from authorities or for security and compliance reasons.
- Consent: when we ask you clearly to agree to a specific use of your data (for example certain optional email communications or non‑essential cookies). You are free to refuse or withdraw your consent at any time.
If you would like more information about how a specific processing activity is linked to a legal basis, you can contact us at the email address in the "How to Contact Us" section.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only when it is necessary to operate the Portal, to comply with the law, or when you ask us to do so.
Service providers and technical partners
We may share your data with carefully selected third parties that help us provide the Portal, such as:
- Hosting and cloud service providers that store our website and databases.
- Technical and security providers that help us keep the Portal secure, manage backups and monitor performance.
- Communication tools that help us send service emails (for example, messages about registration, password reset or important changes to the service).
These providers process personal data only on our instructions and with appropriate security measures. They are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes.
Candidates and employers
When you use the Portal, some of your information is visible to other users:
- Applications published by candidates are visible to employers and, depending on the Portal design, to other users.
- Job offers published by employers are visible to candidates and other users.
- Messages exchanged through the Portal are visible only to the parties involved and to our administrators, who may access them when necessary to moderate communications or manage abuse or security issues.
Authorities and legal requirements
We may share your personal data with public authorities, courts or law enforcement agencies if we are legally required to do so, or if this is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others.
International transfers
Our service providers may be located in different countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In this case, we will take appropriate measures to protect your data, such as using standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or transferring data only to countries that offer an adequate level of data protection.
We keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or allowed by law.
- Account data: we keep your registration data while your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable time, unless we need to keep some information for legal, security or legitimate business reasons.
- Applications and job offers: we keep your applications and job offers while they are active on the Portal. When you delete an ad or when it expires, we may remove it from public view but keep a copy in our backups and logs for a limited period, for security and abuse prevention.
- Messages and communications: we keep messages exchanged through the Portal for a period that allows us to manage moderation, handle disputes and prevent abuse. After this period, messages may be anonymised or deleted.
- Technical and log data: we keep technical logs for a limited period necessary for security, troubleshooting and improvement of the service, unless a longer retention is required in case of security incidents or legal requests.
When we no longer need personal data and we are not required by law to keep it, we will delete it or make it permanently anonymous so that it can no longer be linked to an identified or identifiable person.
If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, or if GDPR applies to you, you have several rights regarding your personal data. Subject to some conditions and limitations, you can:
- Access your data: ask us for confirmation that we process your personal data and receive a copy of it.
- Rectify your data: ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Erase your data: ask us to delete your personal data in certain cases, for example if it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.
- Restrict processing: ask us to limit the processing of your data in certain situations (for example, while we check its accuracy or review an objection you have raised).
- Data portability: receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine‑readable format and, where technically possible, have it transmitted to another controller.
- Object to processing: object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, especially in relation to moderation or improvement activities, if you believe your rights and interests override ours.
- Withdraw consent: when we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint: file a complaint with a competent data protection authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection laws.
To exercise your rights, please contact us using the details in the "How to Contact Us" section. We may ask you to provide information to confirm your identity before we answer your request.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They help the website remember your actions and preferences over a period of time.
Types of cookies we may use
- Strictly necessary cookies: these cookies are needed for the Portal to work correctly. They allow you to navigate the website, log in, keep your session active and protect your account. You cannot disable these cookies through our settings because the Portal would not function properly.
- Functional cookies: these cookies remember your preferences, such as language settings or saved filters, and make your experience more comfortable.
- Analytics cookies: these cookies help us understand how visitors use the Portal (for example, which pages are visited most, how users move on the site and if they get error messages). We use this information to improve the Portal. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using analytics cookies.
Managing cookies
You can control and manage cookies in different ways:
- Through the settings of your browser, where you can block or delete cookies.
- Through any cookie banner or tools that we may provide on the Portal to allow you to choose categories of cookies (where applicable).
If you block or delete some cookies, parts of the Portal may not work correctly or may be less convenient to use.
We may also use similar technologies, such as local storage or tracking pixels, for purposes similar to cookies. Where required, we will ask for your consent for these technologies as well.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access.
Examples of measures we may use include:
- Using secure protocols (such as HTTPS) to protect data in transit between your browser and our servers.
- Limiting access to personal data only to authorised staff and service providers who need it to perform their duties and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Using authentication and access control systems to protect accounts and administrative areas.
- Keeping our systems and software updated and applying security patches.
- Maintaining backup and recovery procedures to reduce the risk of data loss.
No system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. However, we work to reduce risks and respond to incidents. If we become aware of a data breach that may pose a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will inform you and the competent authorities, when required by law.
The Portal is not intended for children under the age at which they can legally give consent to online services in their country (for example, 16 years old in some EU countries, or a lower age where local laws allow it).
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children who are not allowed to use the Portal under applicable laws. If we discover that we have collected personal data from such a child without valid consent or another legal basis, we will take steps to delete that data as soon as reasonably possible.
If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us in violation of this Policy, please contact us using the details in the "How to Contact Us" section.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features to the Portal, expand to new countries, or when laws and regulations change.
When we make important changes, we will take reasonable steps to inform you, such as publishing a clear notice on the Portal, updating the date of the last update, or sending you a service email if appropriate.
We invite you to review this page regularly to stay informed about how we process your personal data. Your continued use of the Portal after changes means that you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or about how we process your personal data, or if you wish to exercise your data protection rights, you can contact us by email.
